Business Process Review and Redesign Consultant - Remote Consultant (1099) Part-Time

CampusWorks is looking for an individual to work with our client administrative teams, inclusive of financial and human resource operations, to assist clients in re-imagining, re-designing, and implementing streamlined processes and procedures, supported by technology and self-service, with a focus on improving the overall constituent experience and institutional effectiveness.  Some of the key aspects of this role include:
  • Facilitating client leaders to front line staff in evaluating current and designing future state processes with the constituents at the center.
  • Be able to cross the financial and human resource functional areas, integrating their processes and procedures and leverage technology to drive efficiencies.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in guiding policy, process and system reviews and implementations within higher education in Finance & Grants Accounting, Human Resources & Payroll.
  • This position requires experience in the employee life cycle and ideally a migration and/or implementation of one or more of the following ERP systems in a higher education institution: 
  • Banner (Ellucian)
  • Colleague (Ellucian)
  • PeopleSoft (Oracle)
  • Campus Management
  • Workday
  • Unit 4
Requirements
  • 5+ years experience leading, managing or directing functional areas of an organization and/or with ERP implementation and migration of one of these administrative systems in higher education: Banner, Colleague, PeopleSoft, Campus Management, WorkDay, Unit 4
  • Solid leadership skills, including facilitating diverse groups, creating consensus building and preparing the organization and individuals for change and ongoing continuous improvement
  • Business process review experience, including reviewing and recommending policy changes, staffing and organizational alignment changes, and realignment of roles and responsibilities when appropriate
  • Demonstration of superior communication skills and the ability to provide a consultative approach to end clients
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating the diverse needs of functional areas, students, faculty, staff and leadership across higher education organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to map, leveraging Visio, current and desired processes with detail showing the various process steps and who is performing each step.  This includes mapping out very complex and at times dysfunctional processes that have arisen over time in an organization.
Preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years related experience with demonstrated experience in the higher education environment
  • Advanced degree or related experience
  • Prior work as:
    • Director, AVP, VP of:
      • Finance – Controller
      • Human Resources
      • Institutional Effectiveness
      • Chief Operating Office
      • Or similar expertise
    • Physical Demands
      This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are generally Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some weekend or evening hours may be necessary in emergency situations. This is largely an office environment sedentary role, requiring use of typical office equipment such as a computer, laptop and cell phone. Most work is completed at a client location.  Requires travel to and from the client location via auto and/or air.
